Your seed phrase is a 12-word backup that lets you recover your account if you ever lose access.
What is a seed phrase
When you create your account, Vanish generates a unique 12-word recovery phrase. This phrase is cryptographically linked to your account and is the only way to recover it if you forget your password.
⚠️Your seed phrase is shown exactly once — during account creation. It is never stored by Vanish. If you lose it and forget your password, your account cannot be recovered.
How to store it safely
- Write it down on paper and store it somewhere secure
- Do not save it in a notes app, email, or cloud storage
- Do not take a screenshot of it
- Consider storing it in a fireproof safe or safety deposit box
- Never share it with anyone
How to recover your account

Go to the recovery page
Visit app.vanish.finance/recover or click "Forgot access? Recover with seed phrase" on the sign in page.

Enter your seed phrase
Type all 12 words in the correct order. Words are separated by spaces.

Set a new password
Once verified, you'll be prompted to set a new password for your account.
